This picture was taken the night before my mother died. I had decided to go and join my colleagues, the Network Winds, and simply try to enjoy some music making together. In this picture we are performing the Beetoven Quintet. It was a sort of house party/concert at Nadina's house. Ineke and Caroline came to the party as well. This evening I'm sure gave me deep inner strength for the coming day, and days, I'm sure, because who knew what was going to happen the next day!
Music making is the most spiritual experience I know, and gives me inner strength to deal with life ! Others choose God and the Church, me, its playing and music making with wonderful friends and colleagues.
